Research Interests

Karl Scheibe’s publication record spans 50 years and includes a wide range of topics—verbal learning, an evaluation of college students serving as companions in mental hospitals, problems of human predictability, theoretical studies on self and identity, substance abuse and addictions, and most conspicuously in recent years, theoretical essays connecting psychology to the language of drama and the techniques of theater.  His current writing projects include preparation of a book on the impact of the work of Theodore Sarbin on psychology as well as the preparation of a book to be called Deep Drama.
